Gruner Veltliner
Impressive and singular dry Riesling from one of the most historically significant estates in Austria. For this particular Federspiel, Nikolaihof sources fruit from the Vom Stein (a sub-site of Silberbichel), which has gneiss, mica, and loess soils.
Vom Stein is not technically a vineyard name, but a vineyard territory (cluster of vineyards) once known by this name. Nikolaihof aims to maintain the ancient traditions of this area and retains this name for this wine
This beautiful Riesling from Nikolaihof offers a very pretty bouquet, showing pretty scent of citrus fruits, lemon curd and apricot. It is incredibly fresh with sweet notes of honey and brioche and a subtle anise underpin. It is bright and juicy with the sweetness of fruits and stimulating acidity. Great pleasure in the mouth as the juiciness flirts with the tongue with a touch of spice.
The low alcohol contributes to the palate's desire for more and for the accompaniment of a cuisine that seems as aromatic and original as the wine itself.

Vom Stein is a sub-site of the Silberbichel vineyard and is a slight incline, sloping east. Nikolaihof makes beautiful wines from this vineyard. Smaragd is the highest level of quality in Austrian wines.
Grape Varietals & Region: This Riesling thrives majestically on soils of loam, loess and Danube gravel
Taste Profile: The 2017 Riesling Smaragd Vom Stein unfolds an enticing spectrum of scents. Aromas of yellow fruits such as apricot and mirabelle plum meet lemon peel and the nuance of lily of the valley oil. This fragrance is characterised by a breathtaking freshness, coupled with an intense minerality and a cool sophistication. Its minerality presents itself strikingly and is underpinned by a fine tannin. Its long finish, marked by intense fruit, is unsurpassed. A mature wine that combines expression and intensity.
Winemaking Process: With respect for nature, this wine is made solely by fermentation with the natural yeast found in the grapes. Additives such as sugar, enzymes and flavour enhancers have no place in this process. After a careful storage of two and a half years in large, old wooden barrels, the wine is finally bottled on a fruit day
A fascinating jewel from Nikolaihof: a wine of stone and fruit with abundant and constantly renewed aromas. It is a concentrate of soil and energy, of insolent youth.
Grape Varietals & Region: This single-plot Riesling comes from an approximately 25-year-old vine planted on the “Steiner Gaisberg”. On this high altitude terroir (between 350 and 400 meters) laid out in terraces, the soils are quite thin (50 centimeters maximum) and stony. The root system of the vine quickly penetrates into a crystalline subsoil of paragneiss, which will give the wine this intensely mineral dimension, perfectly intertwined with the crunch of the fruit and an irresistible sensation of floral and honeyed voluptuousness.
Taste Profile: At first nose, it is the stony nature of the soil which is expressed, with notes of pumice, cold ash and oil.
A minerality quickly overtaken by the delicious brightness of the fruit, around apricot, quince paste, yellow peach and pineapple, but also by an irresistible sensation of sweetness and floral voluptuousness: we think of honey candies, flower pistils loaded with pollen, we think of acacia, violet and lavender, we think of rose fields near Grasse (as surprising as that may seem!), to bees busy foraging in lush gardens with rare species.
Winemaking Process: This Riesling Klause remained in large casks for 4 years, before spending 3 additional years in bottle

Grape Varietals &Region: 100% Riesling. Steiner Hund is located just outside of the official Wachau borders, so rather than the expected Smaragd label this would otherwise carry, the Saahs family has elected to instead use the oft-abused term Reserve. Don't be fooled by the simple designation, though: this is seriously good wine.
Taste Profile: The nose is simply electric, a stunning array of lime blossom, sea spray, crushed rock and lemon rind. The palate matches the aromas and adds a delicious layer of saltiness to this floral, exceptionally fruited riesling. Delicate but concentrated and very long, this will drink well and improve for at least the next 15 years

Carmenere, with small percentages of Cabernet Franc & Cabernet Sauvignon. From the Peumo Vineyard, D.O. Peumo, Cachapoal Valley. The soil profile presents perfect proportions of sand, silt, and clay, because it is in the second colluvial-alluvial terrace and is associated with the riverbed, which allows for fresher, more elegant wines. The clay retains water, which contributes to good ripening in the grapes. The retention characteristics are perfect for controlling plant growth.
Deep, dark red with violet undertones. Very elegant, complex, with notes of blackberry and a touch of blackcurrant. Full on the palate, with mature underlying tannins, concentrated and profound, with a long aftertaste that is distinctive of the Peumo soil.
Selected bunches are destemmed, and the grapes are dropped gently into stainless steel tanks for fermentation for 5–7 days. 15 months in French oak barrels, 85% first use and 15% second and third use.
Concha y Toro launched the Amelia brand in 1993 as a tribute to women who have pushed beyond the limits. Searching for new horizons - think Amelia Earhart, Jane Goodal, Gertrude Ederte, and more.
Light ruby red colour. This Pinot Noir opens with a complex and multi-layered bouquet. Dominated by red cherry notes and a hint of smoke and black tea leaf. Refreshing, with an excellent combination of structure and a mineral backbone. The dry palate offers a streak of salinity. Flavours of oak grain, vanilla, red cherry and dark fruits. Closes with a long, fresh finish.
"The Amelia Pinot Noir has a great structure, balanced acidity, and a touch of salinity that only the Limarí Valley can deliver." — Marcelo Papa, Winemaker.
From the best terroir for Pinot Noir in the Limarí Valley, the fruit for this wine is taken from blocks 5 & 6 of the Quebrada Seca Vineyard. Quebrada Seca is located 190 metres above sea level. On one of the valley's rolling hills, bordering the Atacama Desert to the north and just 22 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Cool climate and moderate temperatures, thanks to coastal breezes, help the fruit to ripen slowly. Producing fresh wines with an attractive mineral character. Blocks 5 & 6 are associated with the Santa Cristina soil series and are of colluvial origin. With the presence of angular stones and a good percentage of red clay and calcium carbonate.
Manual harvest, the bunches go through hand picking and selection before they are deposited into stainless steel tanks. 10–15% of the capacity is filled with whole clusters and the remainder with grapes that were very carefully destemmed to prevent any breakage in the berries.
The vinification process began with a cold maceration for 6–7 days at 7–8°C. With one punchdown per day to even out the temperature for a more delicate extraction. As different lots complete their fermentation, they are separated from their skins and racked into barrels for aging. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation naturally as it ages for 12 months in French oak barrels (20% new and 80% second or third-use).
Have you got an adventurous spirit? Ready to explore, to find a wine with a character that tests the limits?
Well, you'll find what you're looking for and more in this stunning ultimate Premium Chardonnay. Brimming with character and an exceptional freshness and a sense of origin, Concha Y Toro Amelia Chardonnay crosses over into new horizons of exceptional. Brilliant light yellow colour. Its crystalline appearance contradicts its complex and multi-layered bouquet. Aromas of white flowers and pears waft from the glass, with a predominance of flinty mineral notes. Refreshing, textured, an elegant mouthfeel. An excellent combination of structure and minerality with a very attractive salinity on the long, fresh finish.
Named after Marcelo Papa's wife- Amelia Chardonnay displays multiple aromatic layers, with an excellent combination of structure and minerality, as well as an attractive salinity in its fresh, long-lasting finish. — Marcelo Papa, Winemaker.
A top-end Chardonnay taken from the Quebrada Seca Vineyard in the unknown and extreme Limarí Valley, northern Chile. Quebrada Seca is located 190 metres above sea level. On one of the valley's rolling hills bordering the Atacama Desert to the north and just 22 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean to the west. Cool climate and moderate temperatures, thanks to coastal breezes, help the fruit to ripen slowly and produce fresh wines with an attractive mineral character.
The vineyard is notable because its clay soils contain a high limestone content, which is very unusual for Chile. This mix of clay and limestone in this specific part of Chile is the perfect base for Chardonnay. Creating wines of great structure since the limestone gives it backbone and the clay provides body.
After a manual harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery. They go through selection on a conveyor belt, which then deposits them directly into the press without destemming. This allows the berries to break gently without applying too much pressure, resulting in a delicate and controlled extraction. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, with 18% new and the remainder with one or two previous uses.
Fermentation lasts 15–18 days, and the wine finally ages in Burgundy-style French oak barrels for 12 months. The wine stabilises naturally with the cold winter temperatures as it ages in the barrels.
Red Wine
Cabernet Sauvignon
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Syrah from Quinta de Maipo Vineyard, D.O. Buin, Alto Maipo Valley. Of alluvial origin, silty-clay in the first horizon. Gravel predominates below the surface, which lends the soil good permeability and few nutrients.
Taste Profile: Deep cherry red. Great aromatic complexity, expressing red fruit aromas & floral notes. Dense & deep on the palate presenting a delicate texture of tannins, and great freshness.
Winemaking Process: The process begins with a selection of the bunches. The stems are removed from the grapes, which are then selected for placement in the fermentation tanks. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels. Once the process has ended, the wine is bottled where it completes the bottle-aging process. 14 months in French oak barrels (26% new, 74% one use).

Grapes were destemmed and crushed with pre-fermentative maceration for 72 h at 4-6ºC. This is followed by traditional fermentation for 20 days at 24-26ºC in stainless steel tanks. Post-fermentative maceration 2-5 days with natural malolactic fermentation.
The vineyard is located in Uco Valley at 1000-1200 m above sea level. The soil is alluvial, located above the alluvial corre formed by the Tunuyán River. The first layer has a sandy-loam profile, with small, colluvial stones and calcium carbonate deposits that continue to 60 cm deep. The next layer becomes sandy, with abundant medium-sized colluvial stones to a depth of 1.5 m. Beneath this is an underlying layer predominantly defined by 30 cm thick limestone that sits above a sandy layer with colluvial stones.
The weather is dry, continental, with good exposure to the sun allowing an excellent maturation of the grapes. Thermal amplitude 15 to 20°C.
Red Wine
Carmenere
Bright, deep red in color. Very expressive on the nose with aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants, and blueberries, as well as mineral notes such as pencil lead. Well-structured and balanced on the palate with excellent density, fresh acidity, and silky tannins, with subtle notes of vanilla, graphite and loam on the lingering finish
The Pirque Viejo Vineyard is one of the winery’s oldest vineyards. It is located 650 m above sea level and runs along the Maipo River, near the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The vertically positioned, cordon-pruned vines come from pre-phylloxera vinestock.
Alluvial, rocky, poor in nutrients, and highly permeable due to the gravel in the sub-soil. Semi-arid Mediterranean. Strongly influenced by the Andes Mountains and the proximity to the Maipo River. The high daily temperature oscillation helps develop the fruit concentration and intensifies the aromas. Aged for 17 months in French oak barrels.
The bunches are selected, destemmed, and gently dropped into stainless steel tanks for fermentation, which lasts 15–19 days, including a post-fermentation maceration (3-7 days). Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally, and the wine is aged for 16 months, during which time it stabilizes naturally without additional treatments. The wine is bottled without filtering.
There is no doubt that this is a classic Riesling and is Kabinett-like
Grape Varietals & Region:100% Riesling from Aconcagua Region, Chile
Taste Profile: Zesty, sherberty lime and perfumed spicy blossom rise from the glass. Drink in that freshness now or hold for a few years to let that honey develop.
Marques de Casa Concha wines embody Concha y Toro's culture and tradition in the art of winemaking. The brand was launched in 1976, in honor of the noble title conferred upon the Concha y Toro family in 1718 by King Felipe V of Spain.
At the edges of the Atacama Desert, one of the driest places on Earth, the Limarí Valley is at the outer limit of wine production in Chile. Despite the extreme conditions, it is a paradise for grape production.
Grape Varietals & Region: The Marques de Casa Concha Chardonnay is from a single vineyard on the south bank of the Limarí River, Quebrada Seca Vineyard. Located close to the Pacific Ocean, the weather is cool with a significant drop in temperature after sunset.
Taste Profile: Bright and light yellow in color. Rich and concentrated aromas of white pear, fig, mineral notes, and toasty hazelnut waft from the glass. Elegant and vibrant, this full-bodied wine possesses a distinct minerality and a core flavor of ripe figs and pear. The fruity and mineral flavors are complemented by sweet vanilla toasty notes. A silky mouthfeel with crisp acidity and a long, memorable finish.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified in the Puente Alto Cellar. Upon reaching the cellar, the bunches were whole cluster pressed for controlled and delicate extraction. Fermentation took place in oak vats over 12–15 days. Just 5% of the wine underwent malolactic fermentation. The wine was aged in French Burgundian oak barriques for 12 months with periodic battonage (lees stirring). Finally, the wine was fined with adjusted doses of bentonite and cold stabilized prior to bottling.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Pinot Noir from the San Julián Vineyard, D.O. Limarí, Limarí Valley. The Pinot Noir vines come from clones 777 and 113 (Dijon). Alluvial, silty-clayey with a round stone substrate, a calcium carbonate base and little organic matter. Coastal climates create overcast mornings & indirect light, allowing for slower ripening.
Taste Profile: Bright and delicate red. It shows concentrated notes of cherry and raspberry. A refined texture with red fruit and licorice flavors, with a notable structure. It feels exuberant, fine, and delicate.
Winemaking Process: The bunches are selected and de-stemmed, then they fall by gravity into the fermentation vats. A small percentage of the batches are fermented with stalk. Malolactic fermentation takes place naturally.
Grape Varietal & Origin: 100% Carmenere from Peumo Vineyard, D.O. Peumo, Cachapoal Valley. Deep alluvial silty-clay associated with the riverbed. The vines come from pre-phylloxera vine stock and are trellised to vertical shoot position. The soils are deep and have a top layer of clay that retains moisture, which helps control plant vigor and growth, and more importantly, allows the vines to remain active until late May when Carmenere is harvested.
Taste Profile: Deep violet red. An intense, pure Carmenère, packed with blueberries and wild berries. Floral hints like violets and a pinch of roast red pepper. Fruity and flavorful with delicious acidity, sweet, friendly tannins, and a long, creamy finish.

Grape Varietals & Region: 95% Merlot, with 5% Malbec from the Maule Valley, where there are large amounts of clay and granite in its soils, primarily toward the coast, where the Coastal Mountains are relatively low, enabling the cool ocean breezes to enter this valley that produces the largest number of varieties in Chile. Mediterranean climate, with a long dry season.
Taste Profile: Deep, dark, bright red. Rich and skillfully balanced. Fresh and complex. Delicate notes of blackcurrant, spices, wild fruits, and red plum. It has a nice and elegant touch of toasted oak which adds an attractive dimension. Elegant tannins accompany a great fruit expression on the palate. Its finish is long, fresh, and captivating.

This process is carried out in stainless steel tanks and lasts a total of 10 to 14 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs naturally for 50% of the wine and is induced with selected cultures for the other 50%. Next, the wine completes its aging period for 14 to months in French oak barrels and foudres. The stabilization of this wine occurs naturally, without treatments. Aged for 18 months, 50% in 5,000 L foudres and 50% French oak barrels, 22% first use and 88% second and third use.

A magnificent estate, solid know-how, and meticulous care for each of their wines clearly distinguishes Maurice Gavignet from other wineries. Maurice Gavignet Nuits Saint Georges is a bottle of intense crepuscular crimson with a hint of mauve.
The nose often features rose and liquorice. The young red wine has aromas of cherry, strawberry, and blackcurrant, and when matured, leather, truffle, fur, game. Notes of macerated fruits (prune) complete the picture. Muscular and vigorous, chewy and full-bodied, its structure is both well-built and well-balanced, and it is long in the mouth. The medium-bodied palate is structured with silky tannins and bright acidity. Light, elegant, and oh so smooth.
It is most fully enjoyed after several years’ laying down which rounds it out and underlines its sensuality and breeding.
Harvested by hand and then transported to their vast vaults, Rue Félix Tisserand in Nuits-Saint-Georges, where the wine is vinified and aged. Fermented at controlled temperatures and then aged in French Merrain oak barrels for 18 months. Further ageing occurs after bottling in order to let the wine develop powerful red fruit and blackberry aromas.
The appellation falls into two parts, divided by the town itself. The northern portion extends as far as the border of Vosne-Romanée, and the southern section lies partly in Nuits-Saint-Georges and partly in Premeaux.
The soils in the northern sector derive from pebbly alluvium washed down from upslope, or, in the low-lying parts, silty deposits from the river Meuzin.
In the southern sector, the alluvia at the base of the slope originate in the combe of Vallerots where there are deep marly-limestone soils, while at the top of the slope, the rock is almost at the surface. Exposures are mostly to the East or South-East.

Y'know how we speak about not giving a F***, well it's exactly how Hans-Joseph or "HaJo" makes his wines. These wines taste like nothing else coming out of the Rheingau (or most anywhere for that matter). He makes the kinds of wines he wants to make. And that’s about it.
Wallufer Walkenberg's dry Riesling cabinet embodies all that JB Becker is so well-known for. An absolutely dry and precise Riesling that represents its origin. After selective hand-picking follows the wine-growing with vineyard-owned yeasts in the traditional Rheingauer wooden barrel. Almost a year on the lees, the wine is very gently filtered and bottled. Maturing in the bottle for some time, it now begins to reveal its finesse-rich spectrum of flavors.
Dry Riesling, strong hints of peach, fresh aromas of honey and apples with hints of minerality.

Dry Riesling, strong hints of peach, fresh aromas of honey and apples with hints of minerality.
Y'know how we speak about not giving a F***, well it's exactly how Hans-Joseph or "HaJo" makes his wines. These wines taste like nothing else coming out of the Rheingau (or most anywhere for that matter). He makes the kinds of wines he wants to make. And that’s about it.

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the Wallufer Berg Bildstock grand cru vineyards in Rheingau, Germany.
Taste Profile: The alcohol, although at 14.5%, does not play a dominant role at all, but rather hides. The acidity and extract balance this perfectly into a lean and at the same time quite creamy, caramelly, brioche-laden wine. Quince and baked apple on the nose, star fruit, anise, a bit of lavender, even a hint of juniper, flower meadow. This 2007 is an extreme charmer. The dreamlike, juicy, charming tartaric acid balances all the aromatics, all the floralness, caramelness, perfectly.
The whole thing ends long and yet always remains extremely charming and creamy. Shows wonderful fullness, the slight viscosity and the amount of glycerine caused by the alcohol also contribute a lot to this. We have fine botrytis aromas and an extremely stimulating petrol note.

Pinot Noir
Sparkling Wine
Pinot Noir
Blanc de Noir (French literally: “white from black”) is the French name for a white wine made from red wine varieties. The term has not yet been defined in German wine law, but is also not objected to the illusion of white wine.
Grape Varietals & Region:100% Pinot Noir from Ahr, Germany. The secret of the Ahr wines is based on a perfect microclimate, which is created by the geological conditions. The steep, south-facing vineyards offer optimal exposure to the sun. The predominant weathered soils of slate and greywacke are easily warmed and are able to store this heat. The narrow valley, protected by the Eifel mountains, heats up quickly and offers the vines an ideal habitat.
Taste Profile: It is rich in nuances, with a play of aromas of pear, apple, yellow peach and an elegant minerality. The partial malolactic fermentation softens the acid slightly and allows the melty aromas to develop.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are picked by hand and carefully transported to the winery in small boxes. The production takes place in the same way as the champagne base wine. Red grapes are pressed into the press as whole bunches (i.e. not destemmed and mashed). With gentle pressure, only the bright, clear juice inside the berry is extracted. The must pressed in this way is then fermented cool like a white wine and then subjected to malolactic fermentation. The cooled and controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and a small percentage in barriques. After several weeks of storage on the fine yeast, bottling takes place after approx. 6 months. The “Illusion” is a white-pressed Pinot Noir.

Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling, from the Saar valley of Germany
In previous years, their drinking wine for daily enjoyment came regularly from the Ayler Scheidterberg. Unfortunately, this vineyard name has disappeared. They did however, want to stay true to tradition and name their lightest Riesling after this vineyard.
Taste Profile: It is mineral-fresh and with an exciting bouquet of wild yeasts Archetype of the animating Saar Riesling.
Grape Varietals & Region:100% Riesling, from slate slopes in Ayl, Saar, Germany
Taste Profile: Tapas, salted almonds, and parmesan on the table. In addition, our mash-fermented N° 2 offers a grippy, slightly melty texture. Exciting nutmeg notes fill the warm bouquet. It is a full-bodied and mildly acidic but – with ambient yeasts – dry-fermented wine with only 2 g/l residual sugar. A wine that cuts a fantastic figure with strong or salty-spicy dishes.
Winemaking Process: The fruit is mash fermented & undergoes wild yeast fermentation, followed by barrel ageing on lees
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling. This would be coming from the eastern slopes of Scheidterberg and Rauberg, it reflects the spicy side of the Ayler Riesling terroir
Taste Profile: The 25th cask in the cellar is their high-quality Ayler Ortswein (village wine). N° 25 impresses with fine herbal and saline notes. That is why we recommend this wine with Mediterranean-style dishes.
It doesn’t always have to be Pinot Grigio… For lovers of the milder but dry taste, we recommend this fine Ortswein, or village wine.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the east-facing slope of the Kuppe in the Saar valley
Taste Profile: Ripe exotic notes, along with a wholesome, mild-spicy aftertaste. N° 1 combines the strengths of the Saar and shows good development and aging potential. “Splendid” is the headline of the Gault Millau wine guide
Aromatic, juicy, vibrantly fine, your all rounder white. Present on the nose are aromas of green apple and citrus twang. Barely off-dry and textured, the palate oozes flavors of lemon, wet slate, green apple skin, and white flowers. This is one of the estate’s greatest value and so will it be amongst your wine stash.
Grandfather Peter Lauer I (1906-1991) used to enjoy a bottle of Riesling every day. It smelled wonderful, tasted dry but well balanced with a hint of fruit on the tongue. Every year he chose a barrel from the Ayler Kupp. He placed particular emphasis on a single wine for all his guests, which both the dry drinker liked and the lover of fruity drops delighted. As a tribute to this famous “senior” wine, we vinify a worthy successor every year that the grandfather should taste.
White Grand Cru Wine
Riesling
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the scheidterberg vineyard in Ayl, Saar, Germany. A premier cru plot, the vines average 32 years old, and is grown on slate soils.
Taste Profile:The southern exposure allows for late ripening, and the wine has long ageing potential. On the nose, delicate smoky spice, floral notes & salted caramel dominate. Expect a balanced aromatic Riesling with a stonefruit backbock, than it fresh & inviting, already in it's youth
WInemaking Process:Hand harvest & 50% cold maceration, with wild yeast & spontaneous ferment. It sits 2 months on lees before aging in oak barrel
White Premier Cru Wine
Riesling
Old vines form the foot of the Ayler Kupp slope.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling from the foot of the Ayler Kupp slopes. The lower part of the slope benefits from centuries of weathering from the higher slate slope. The most finely weathered stones collect here due to the erosion from rain. The small fragments are available to the vines as a source of minerals
Taste Profile: The long-lasting dryish wine comes from old vines and is dense, exciting, and always a little salty on the palate. It tends to be one of the broadest and most powerful of Lauer’s dry wines. Because of the ample water, it has a mineral expression that is multifaceted, complex, deep
It has a beautifully complex and smoky nose of candied lime, grapefruit zest, smoky bacon, ginger, almond, yuzu, and white flowers. The wine is superbly playful and refined on the palate, where some light creamy and juicy elements make for an appealing touch. The finish is beautifully spicy and herbal and already fully dry.
Grape Varietals & Region: 100% Riesling sources from the top of the Kupp mountain in the Saar region, Germany. Stirn is located high up Ayler Kupp. Optimally oriented to the south and steep, the Riesling vines catch a maximum of sunrays here. The ground is littered with coarse slate stones and is shallow. The water flows rapidly down into the valley. The vines, therefore, have to be deeply rooted in the rock to give the old vines with their small berries extract. Given it's unique microclimate, it tends to be harvested earlier than other plots within the Saar
Taste Profile: An off-dry Riesling, it has a high acid profile, and it's linearity gives it a dry finish. t reveals a fully aromatic and appealing nose of yellow fruits (pineapple, Conference pear, and quince), candied grapefruit, tangerine, green apple, anise, oriental spices, and smoke. The wine proves fully off dry on the palate as plenty of sweet and ripe fruits come through. The finish is structured and has more mineral elements with zesty and minty elements.

It proves quite reduced and smoky at first, and needs quite a moment to reveal creamy notes of almond, ripe vineyard peach, greengage, lemon, herbs, and spices. The wine is light-weighted on the palate, and while the acidity feeling is on the low side, there no excessive sense of smoothness and the wine proves nicely balanced, so that the residual sugar is already well integrated and seems far lower than the analytic numbers would suggest. The finish is long, sappy, and superbly refreshing, with even great tension and freshness despite all the elements at play.
At the turn of the 20th century, when Saar wine was unimaginably expensive, tobacco manufacturer Kern, from Saarlouis, owned a piece of vineyard land in Ayler Kupp. The vines are 70 years old today. After the sun has finished its work on the hot slate stones during the day, the coolness rises up the hillside from the marsh below and noticeably lowers the temperature. This interplay of scorching heat during the day and coolness at night is the secret to the intense aromatic expression of this off-dry wine.
""Kern"" is named after the 19th century industrialist that cleared this more-western part of the Kupp; it is a small parcel that spans the entire top-to-bottom reach of the Kupp. Thus, for me, the wine always has something of the lift and rigor of ""Stirn"" and something of the depth of wines like ""Neuenberg"" and ""Unterstenberg."" The vines are old here, well over 70-years-old, so the wine has some stuffing. It is most often well in that off-dry style, yet, with Lauer, it's always about the balance.-Vom Boden

Produced in the large neutral oak barrels, racking a little earlier, kept on the fine lees all the way through to bottling in April.
Feinherb is not a recognised style, but it's the perfect word to describe this dry to off dry style Riesling. Schaefer's fine-dry Graacher Riesling fine-dry is hardly sweeter than the dry version, but is significantly fruitier
Grape Varietals & Region:100% Riesling rredominantly from the Himmelreich but from different parcels than its dry counterpart.
Taste Profile: Astonishing finesse and slatey intensity for a village wine. Bright and refined on the fresh and pure nose that reveals white peach aromas intertwined with discreetly flinty slate aromas. Round and lush on the palate, this is a quite intense and textured Graacher with ripe, elegant acidity, yet it (still?) doesn't have the sharpness and precision of the dry Graacher. The finish is mouth-filling and fruity, though, and delicate in acidity, with good length
A riesling close to working magic, this semi-sweet white will put anyone who tries it under a spell...
Pristine fruit flavours with a breathtaking tension and complexity. Fresh nose of white florals, yellow peach, lime zest, pear and herbs. The luscious mouthfeel produces flavours of candied yellow peach, lime ice cream, honeyed green apple, overripe pineapple and slate. Silky and charming with a fine acidity and minerality. Animated, structured and dry, with a long bitter finish of ripe fruits and herbs.
100% Riesling sourced from Willi Schaefer's Himmelreich vineyards. The vineyard name of Himmelreich, which translates as Kingdom of Heaven, likely comes from the site's south to southwest exposure. The vineyard's deep clayey slate soil, cool Mosel climate and perfect sunlight exposure make it a paradise for Riesling. The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed whole cluster, and spontaneously ferment and age in old Fuder barrels
A real peach bomb supported by lemon and lime citrus.
Pale yellow with a green tint. The crisp bouquet opens with citrus, pear and floral notes. Dominant peach flavours give way to layers of green apple, lemon zest, minerals, and mango and melon for a tropical touch. A weightless mouthfeel with the perfect balance of intense acidity and sweetness, closing off in an exceptional long dry finish

A Riesling with a serious dose of minerals and yellow stone fruit flavours. Fresh and crisp nose of yellow peach and lemon citrus, white flowers and minerals. Nectarine and apricot stone fruit, honey green apple and ripe pineapple flavours on the palate are complemented by a piercing and deep minerality. Powerful and complex off-dry white with a solid structure and pleasant length on the bitter finish.
Give this wine time to mature so it can show off its elegance and mineral finesse.
100% Riesling sourced from Graacher Dompropst, which rises steeply directly above the village of Graach at 120–260 metres above sea level. The vineyard got its name because the Trier Cathedral Provost was due one-third of the tithes of wine from Graach. Due to its topography and south-southwest exposure, Domprobst gets plenty of sunlight and is well protected from cold winds and frosts. The warming of the stony, argillaceous slate soils cause a uniform and full ripening of the grapes. The grapes are hand-harvested, gently pressed whole cluster, and spontaneously ferment and age in large old Fuder barrels.
