FoodLine was founded in Singapore back in 2009 when Joseph & Shawn tried to find caterers for their events, and realised it was hard to find suitable ones due to lack of reviews. To help others like them, they created a catering review portal, FoodLine. In late 2013, due to demand, they changed FoodLine to become a one stop catering portal for people to order catering, tingkat, cakes & vouchers. Its headquarters is currently located in Singapore.

    FoodLine works with over 507 merchants and caterers in Singapore to bring to you more than 4,000 catering menus and cakes to choose from for your event. Select your preferred catering menu based on your budget and needs, place an order online, and our FoodLine Partner will contact you for confirmation of your order.

  5. I am interested in this catering menu but would like to have some customised requirements and changes. What do I do?
    We help our partners to answer your queries and place your orders. You can proceed to order online and indicate your requirements/requests in the “remarks or comments” box or simply contact us at 6100 0029 / sales@foodline.sg where our Customer Sales Team would gladly assist you.

  7. Is there a price difference on FoodLine?
    Similar to many promotional websites, the prices published on FoodLine.sg are either the same or lower than if you order directly with the caterer.
  8. Will there be a difference in the quality of the food if I order through FoodLine.sg?
    No. Our merchants and caterers are committed to offer you the same kind of service and food quality. If there are any differences, please let us know and we would take it up with the caterer.
  9. Will the caterer impose any hidden charges if I order through FoodLine.sg?
    No. Our merchants and caterers are committed to offer the price that was listed on FoodLine. Cash rewards are also offered and decided independently by FoodLine and so does not affect the cost you are paying.
  10. How do I make payment for my order?
    Payment for catering services can be paid to FoodLine using online payment or to the caterer. Payment for cakes are to be made online to FoodLine.
  11. How many days do I need to order in advance?
    It varies with merchants. We highly recommend placing orders at least 3 days in advance, and 1 week in advance for large orders (>80 people). Please order earlier for festive periods.
  12. Can I order catering on behalf on an organization via FoodLine? Will I be entitled to the cash reward?
    Yes to both questions. For details, refer to the FAQ for customers buying on behalf of organisations.
  13. After ordering from FoodLine
  14. How do I know if my order is successfully placed online?
    After placing your order online, you will receive an email to inform you that your order has been successfully placed. Thereafter, the caterer will get back to you within the same day or no later than 1-2 business days to confirm your order.
  15. How do I modify/cancel my order after placing my order on FoodLine?
    You can modify/cancel your order by contacting FoodLine.sg or the merchant directly. FoodLine.sg is responsible for your orders.

    For orders which are paid via online payments, we will refund you. For orders which are paid to the merchant via cash on delivery, it is usually faster to contact them directly. If you fail to seek refund from the merchant, we will assist you in seeking refunds from the merchant.
  16. Will there be any cancellation charges should I cancel my order?
    Different merchants have different cancellation policies, and these are shown at the order page before you submit the order. You may wish to also contact FoodLine.sg if you require any clarification or help on cancellations.
  17. What happens if the cake I’ve ordered and paid online for is not available?
    It usually does not happen. In the rare event that it does happen, full payment would be refunded to you in 5-7 working days to your credit card.
  18. Cash Rewards
  19. What is this cash reward all about?
    FoodLine offers all FoodLine customers a cash reward of $3 when you leave a review for the caterer after your event. The cash reward will be transferred to the bank account that you have specified.
  20. Can I order catering on behalf on an organization via FoodLine? Will I be entitled to the cash reward?
    Yes, you can and you’ll still be entitled to cash rewards.
  21. Will the cash rewards be indicated in the invoice?
    As the cash rewards is offered to you by FoodLine.sg, the caterer's invoice will not indicate it.
  22. How to claim cash reward?
    After your event has passed, login to the Cash Reward page to leave a review. On the review page, indicate your bank account details and the cash reward will be transferred to you in 3-5 working days.
  23. When is the latest I have to claim the cash reward?
    Your cash reward will expire 30 days after your event date (w.e.f 20th Feb 2020). For example, if your event date is on 1st May, then the last day to claim the cash reward will be 31st May. This is to ensure reviews on our platform are kept up to date.
  24. FL Points
  25. What are FL Points?
    Buy on FoodLine and earn FoodLine Points (FL Points). For online payments, FL Points can be used to offset the price directly. For cash/cheque payment, FL Points can be used to increase your cash reward!
  26. How do I use my FL Points?
    1. Login to your FoodLine Account
    2. Use your FL Points on the ordering pages (see below for an example of what to look out for)
  27. Are FL Points added on top of cash rewards and other promotions on FoodLine?
    Yes, FL Points are added on top of cash rewards, and other promotions on FoodLine.
  28. Can I use FL Points to offset my online payment on FoodLine?
    Yes, FL Points can be used to offset your online purchases.
  29. If my order is cancelled /rejected, how many days will the refund of my FL Points take?
    The refund is usually immediate or within 2 working days from order rejection/cancellation.
  30. Can I transfer FL Points to my friend's account?
    No, FL Points cannot be transferred from one account to the other.
  31. How much are FL Points worth?
    Promotion from now till end of Nov 2024 :
    • For online payment, 250 100 FL Points is equal to $1.
    • For other forms of payment, 250 100 FL Points is equal to $1 cash reward.
  32. How many FL Points can be used per order?
    You can use your FL Points to claim up to 10% of the order amount, capped at $100.

    Example 1: For order amount of $200, the maximum FL Points you can use is 2,000 FL Points (worth $20 <- 10% of $200)
    Example 2: For order amount of $2000, the maximum FL Points you can use is 10,000 FL Points (worth $100 <- 10% of $2000 capped at $100)
  33. If I just ordered 1 order but is pending merchant to accept the order, can I use the FL Points for the 2nd order?
    As the first order may accepted, you cannot use FL Points for the 2nd order.
  34. When do I receive FL Points?
    Usually within 30 days of your order been completed, you will receive FL Points.

    After you have submitted your order, you will be informed of FL Points which you can expect to receive when your order is completed. Your order is deemed completed usually 30 days after the caterer has collected payment from you, or when you have submitted a review and invoice for your order.

  36. Can I provide reviews if I didn't order through FoodLine?
    Currently we only allow customers who have ordered through FoodLine.sg to post reviews, and claim the cash rewards.
  37. Who provide the reviews on FoodLine.sg?
    The reviews are provided by past customers who have ordered and experienced the merchants’ services through FoodLine.
