Great pleasure in the mouth as the juiciness flirts with the tongue with a touch of spice.

The late release allows longer contact with lees, giving the wine a much more textural sensation, as well as more developed oxidative notes

The low alcohol contributes to the palate's desire for more and for the accompaniment of a cuisine that seems as aromatic and original as the wine itself.

Vom Stein Riesling Federspiel Late Release 2016 (1500ml)
Limited: $2 extra + $3 rebate
Free delivery with min. spend of $300

Impressive and singular dry Riesling from one of the most historically significant estates in Austria. For this particular Federspiel, Nikolaihof sources fruit from the Vom Stein (a sub-site of Silberbichel), which has gneiss, mica, and loess soils.

Vom Stein is not technically a vineyard name, but a vineyard territory (cluster of vineyards) once known by this name. Nikolaihof aims to maintain the ancient traditions of this area and retains this name for this wine

This beautiful Riesling from Nikolaihof offers a very pretty bouquet, showing pretty scent of citrus fruits, lemon curd and apricot. It is incredibly fresh with sweet notes of honey and brioche and a subtle anise underpin. It is bright and juicy with the sweetness of fruits and stimulating acidity.

Vom Stein Riesling Smaragd 2014 (750ml)
Limited: $2 extra + $3 rebate
Free delivery with min. spend of $300

Vom Stein is a sub-site of the Silberbichel vineyard and is a slight incline, sloping east. Nikolaihof makes beautiful wines from this vineyard. Smaragd is the highest level of quality in Austrian wines.

Grape Varietals & Region: This Riesling thrives majestically on soils of loam, loess and Danube gravel

Taste Profile: The 2017 Riesling Smaragd Vom Stein unfolds an enticing spectrum of scents. Aromas of yellow fruits such as apricot and mirabelle plum meet lemon peel and the nuance of lily of the valley oil. This fragrance is characterised by a breathtaking freshness, coupled with an intense minerality and a cool sophistication. Its minerality presents itself strikingly and is underpinned by a fine tannin. Its long finish, marked by intense fruit, is unsurpassed. A mature wine that combines expression and intensity.

Winemaking Process: With respect for nature, this wine is made solely by fermentation with the natural yeast found in the grapes. Additives such as sugar, enzymes and flavour enhancers have no place in this process. After a careful storage of two and a half years in large, old wooden barrels, the wine is finally bottled on a fruit day

Klause Riesling 2014 (750ml)
Limited: $2 extra + $3 rebate
Free delivery with min. spend of $300

A fascinating jewel from Nikolaihof: a wine of stone and fruit with abundant and constantly renewed aromas. It is a concentrate of soil and energy, of insolent youth.

Grape Varietals & Region: This single-plot Riesling comes from an approximately 25-year-old vine planted on the “Steiner Gaisberg”. On this high altitude terroir (between 350 and 400 meters) laid out in terraces, the soils are quite thin (50 centimeters maximum) and stony. The root system of the vine quickly penetrates into a crystalline subsoil of paragneiss, which will give the wine this intensely mineral dimension, perfectly intertwined with the crunch of the fruit and an irresistible sensation of floral and honeyed voluptuousness.

Taste Profile: At first nose, it is the stony nature of the soil which is expressed, with notes of pumice, cold ash and oil.

A minerality quickly overtaken by the delicious brightness of the fruit, around apricot, quince paste, yellow peach and pineapple, but also by an irresistible sensation of sweetness and floral voluptuousness: we think of honey candies, flower pistils loaded with pollen, we think of acacia, violet and lavender, we think of rose fields near Grasse (as surprising as that may seem!), to bees busy foraging in lush gardens with rare species.

Winemaking Process: This Riesling Klause remained in large casks for 4 years, before spending 3 additional years in bottle

Don't be fooled by the simple designation, though: this is seriously good wine.

Taste Profile: The nose is simply electric, a stunning array of lime blossom, sea spray, crushed rock and lemon rind. The palate matches the aromas and adds a delicious layer of saltiness to this floral, exceptionally fruited riesling. Delicate but concentrated and very long, this will drink well and improve for at least the next 15 years

Limited: $2 extra + $3 rebate
Free delivery with min. spend of $300

Grape Varietals & Region: The Herawingert vineyard, with a legacy spanning over 1,000 years in the Rhine River Valley, produces mineral-rich and powerful Pinot family wines. Taste Profile: This Pinot Noir boasts an intense and brilliant ruby-red color. On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of dried fruits, cherry blossoms, juniper, and stone fruit. On the palate, it offers a juicy sensation, accompanied by a luscious chocolatey texture and flavors of red berries. The finish is refreshingly firm and impressively long-lasting.

Winemaking Process: The wine is crafted through selective hand-harvesting, followed by aging in French barriques and tonneaus. Careful maceration and the meticulous selection of individual batches contribute to its complexity and character. The strictest criteria are applied during the selection process to ensure the final composition meets the highest standards of quality.
