I ordered food for 15 people at $36.80, but the portion was extremely insufficient. The soup came in one large container, yet it was only enough for about 7-8 people. Similarly, the fried rice was served in a small tray and could only feed 7-8 ... More people as well. As a result, many guests were left hungry! This is the first time I’ve encountered a catering service that provides such small portions. It would be embarrassing to host an event with this caterer, only to have your guests go hungry!

The food arrived but the soup is changed without notice, should be herbal chicken but changed into lotus peanut soup.
The fish was very soaky and dry due to the sauce is poured onto the fried fish long before delivered.

I patronise Lao Huo Tang at Star Vista & have never been disappointed with their food, especially their soups. So I thought catering from them would be the same. How utterly disappointing it was! Starting with the Yu Sheng - it was dismal in ... More proportion, presentation & taste. I am NOT exaggerating when I say every single dish was tasteless, uninspiring & almost inedible (everyone took one bite of the dessert & stopped - it was that bad. My brother said it tasted like the water you had washed your table cloth in). It nearly ruined our Chinese New Eve. I’m not sure why all the food was so bad, was it because it was cooked in bulk in some central kitchen where the cooks couldn’t care less about the end product but was just churning out their “CNY scam” (as my other brother described it)? Whatever the case, I’ll never cater from LHT again but stick to dining at the Star Vista outlet.

They forgot to deliver the Yu Sheng, I called them & they sent the delivery driver back right away. I had no issue with their customer service & found them to be polite & helpful. If only the catered food was as good.
