"Missed order, Late by 2 hours, and No attempt at service recovery."

I ordered a mini buffet for CNY, which comprised individual dishes for about 30+ people, totaling almost $600. Order was acknowledge and taken in a timely manner, which I appreciate. Delivery was supposed to be 1115am-12noon, which did not happen. I finally managed to call through to the office at about 12:10pm, and the lady who answered said someone will return my call to confirm. The return call came 1hr later to acknowledge they had missed the order, and that the food will take another 45mins to arrive. My guests were starving until 1:45pm before we could have lunch.

To add to that, the herbal chicken (@$38!) was not available by then and had to be replaced with honey baked chicken, with no mention of any refund of the difference. Sad to say, the honey baked chicken was terrible and hard as rocks. The fried seabass (@$40!!) was hard and not crispy at all, and I ordered 3, so it was a huge waste of money. The other food were decent to be fair.

The final nail in the coffin was when I wrote in to ask for an explanation for all that transpired and that there should be some compensation for all their failures which I had to put up with, but my emails were ignored, even after I sent a chaser. If you get it wrong the first time, the recovery is very important. It takes more than food to run a catering business, and this has totally failed on the service front, and 50% failed on the food front. Very disappointing.
