I had ordered the healthier choice bento boxes for a school event for the first day, but the meat portions were small and dry, and the vegetables were undercooked. We were all very disappointed.I gave immediate feedback to Makan Mate and they ... More offered me a buffet tray set up of the same dishes but with more gravy and acceded to my request of converting the brown rice to white(I added on an extra dish of chicken curry). The amounts for the following day were more than substantial and the students were very pleased with the quality of the food.
I am truly impressed by their attentiveness to my feedback and quick response even though the next buffet was less than 24 hrs away. Vigitte and Abigail were extremely accommodating and helpful. They left me with a very good impression of the company. I had prepared mentally to write off the company after the first day's fiasco, but the total turnaround on the 2nd day convinced me that this was a company that took service recovery seriously.
Delivery was also very punctual on all 3 days.
I shall certainly order from Makan Mate again because they have proven themselves to be reliable and sincere.
(I would advise a buffet meal rather than bento boxes as the food portions are more moist and quantities also slightly more).
